At Work...

上班時(shí)

Dave and Eric are talking about some of the goings on at work.

迪夫和艾立克上班時(shí)談?wù)撝纠锇l(fā)生的事情。

Dave:Whatever you're up to, you'd better put it on the back burner. It looks like we're goonia be doing Mark's job,too. You won't believe what’s up.

迪夫：不管你手頭正忙著什么，最好都先擱一擱。看來(lái)我們也要插手去做馬克的工作了，你是不會(huì)相信發(fā)生了什么事的。

Eric:So, give me the lowdown.

艾立克：那你就跟我說(shuō)說(shuō)吧。

Dave:Mark is in with the boss getting chewed out for calling in sick again. I'm telling you，the guy gets ripped just about every night and then can't make it in to work the next day. And when he does, he keeps screwing up.

迪夫：馬兌因?yàn)橛执螂娫捳?qǐng)病假，被老板叫了進(jìn)去，正在遭受斥責(zé)呢。我跟你講，那家伙差不多大天晚上都喝得爛醉，到了第二大又不能來(lái)上班，就是來(lái)了也總是出差錯(cuò)。

Eric:He can't even cut it when he's stone sober.

艾立克：他就是不喝酒清醒的時(shí)候也做不好。

Dave:Well,if he doesn't clean up his act soon，he's going to get himself canned.

迪夫:是啊，他要是還不收斂，肯定會(huì)被炒掉的。

Eric:Man, I'm such a wimp that if I downed as much bozze as he does, I'd be barfing my guts up nonstop.

艾立克：嗨，我這人真沒(méi)用。要是我像他那樣喝那么多酒，準(zhǔn)會(huì)吐得翻腸倒肚的。

Dave:I hear not to mention being zoned the next day too. The thing that gets me is that when Mark drinks, he flies off the handle and starts mouthing off at everyone, then doesn't have a clue why people are ticked off at him the next day.

迪夫: 我看也是。不用說(shuō)第二天也是恍恍惚惚的。我最惱火的是馬克一喝酒就發(fā)脾氣、見了誰(shuí)都亂罵。到了第二天，別人朝他發(fā)火，他還完全不明是為了什么。
