數(shù)學與計算科學學院位于中山大學南校區(qū)，前身是始創(chuàng)于1924年的中山大學數(shù)學系。目前，學院下設(shè)兩個系（數(shù)學系、統(tǒng)計科學系）和五個研究機構(gòu)（計算科學實驗室、數(shù)學研究所、計算科學與計算機應(yīng)用研究所、復(fù)雜系統(tǒng)研究中心、華南統(tǒng)計科學研究中心），擁有數(shù)學、統(tǒng)計學兩個一級學科并形成了具有鮮明特色的優(yōu)勢學術(shù)領(lǐng)域。學院現(xiàn)擁有一批教育部“長江學者”特聘教授、國家杰出青年基金獲得者等在國內(nèi)外有一定影響力的教授和學者。

SchoolofMathematics&ComputationalSciences,originallyknownastheMathematicsDepartmentfoundedin1924,islocatedontheSouthCampusofSunYat-senUniversity.TheschoolhousestwodepartmentsandfiveresearchinstitutionsandconsistsoftwoFirstGradeDisciplines(mathematicsandstatistics),formingadistinctfeatureinitsresearchfield.Afairnumberof“ChangjiangScholars”,winnersof“TheNationalScienceFundforDistinguishedYoungScholars”aswellasotherrenownedprofessorsandscholarsareservingfortheschool.

為早日實現(xiàn)建設(shè)世界一流大學的宏偉目標，學校通過擴大科研隊伍、鼓勵青年學子潛心治學、科研。獲聘人員將得到優(yōu)厚的薪酬，并且沒有明確的教學任務(wù)，是各研究團隊的重要骨干，同時是學校未來高層次人才的儲備，是選拔核心教師隊伍的人才庫。專職科研和博士后隊伍中的優(yōu)秀者，聘期內(nèi)或聘期結(jié)束時，可直接應(yīng)聘學校副教授及以上職位。
